Hi All, my car is generally jerky between gear changes (like a clunk) and 1st to 2nd is a bit crunchy (unless you change slowly). Does this sound like a clutch switch issue or gearbox issue (synchros etc)? Any help appreciated.

Does it get any better after driving for a while?

I have a few friends all with the 6sp box that suffer from issues selecting 1st and 2nd gear- but it's a lot easier once it's been running a few miles and all the fluids have reached the correct temperatures.

No, not really. I recently changed the gearbox oil to see if it made any difference but I don't think it has.

my s3 has the same issue sometimes. i got the car checked for codes and it was a clutch switch issue

OK thanks, for the sake of about £12 looks like it may be worth a try.

let me know how it goes if you can. i havent sorted it as yet as im due out of the country in few days and will sort it after im back... cheers

Try your dog bone mount.
When its worn its causes the above issues

I have this issue.

No fault codes stored and my dogbone is new with uprated polyurethane bushings front & rear....hmmm.
