my audi s3 driving swet atm only 118k on the clock but upon death of the engine is it more financially viable to sell the car spares as a whole unit or strip the parts and sell them individually

Depends what you want to do... you can buy 20v's pretty cheap these days so the obvious answer is fit a new engine...

They aren't that expensive to rebuild either..
