S3 front bumper on A3? Please.

Hi,

Can someone tell me if an S3 8L front bumper will fit an A3 8L? I've read conflicting posts on this. Some say that it won't line up due to the S3 having wider arches. Can someone tell me if this is definitely the case or not?

Also, will the S3 doorblades fit the A3?

From the couple of cars I have seen with the s3 front bumpers then there are a few small alignment issues but fits as far as I am aware...

Not sure about the door blades... think the doors are different..

Thanks Tuffty. I'm taking the plunge. Did the rear bumper and it didn't line up perfectly as you say but it is hard to tell. Plan to get a 'specialist' to sort that and hopefully it will be 100%. Definitely looks much better than the standard A3 and allowed me to fit a decent exhaust. Just bought an S3 front - so fingers crossed.

As for the blades - I thought the doors were the same. Do you know what is different? Anyone here tried it?

You may struggle with the rear blade as the A3 one goes to the arch and the S3 one does not,also its if the mounting plates are the same.

Front bumpers go on no worries, and line up perfectly well if fitted correctly.

Rear bumpers go on fine as long as you use the original A3 carriers/mounts.

Door blades look cack anyway, don't bother.

Yep, have the rear fitted with exhaust.

Haha thanks for the advice. Might just colour code the standard ones or something. Haven't decided yet. Any views on skirts? Or don't bother? I'm going for an S3-style conversion (except the S3 badges) but want to keep at close to OEM as possible. Also, plan to do fit rear spoiler but not sure whether to tiger-bond one on or fit the whole S3 bootlid. Any thoughts?

Any pics of before and after? i was also thinking of fitting an s3 bumper eventually at my cars now 70% resprayed by audi and the front bumper is tatty as hell.

Out of interest can you say how much that has cost? Guessing it is pricey!

Have a look at the first pages of my "man boost" thread. My original A3 had an S3 front bumper, and I have fitted a rear bumper to a friends car. Looked good.

Out of interest can you say how much that has cost? Guessing it is pricey!

£311 for the original roof repair on 'warrenty' was my 30% contribution. The roof and passenger quarter were painted.
When it went back to be redone due to defects in the paint above the rusted area they also painted the roof, both rear quarters and front driver door, removing some small underpaint rust patches and a ton of scratches and dinks!

Whites is going to be doing the paint correction work to the hopefully bring the unpainted parts out as good as new, but theres no hope for the front bumper, it needs painting or replacing.
