So had some issues with the clutch on the car and she developed a sputter under boost. Got a friend to drop her of at the workshop as I was going to be away for work. Being updated along the way it was found the the flywheel on the car had given up and needed to be replaced. After the flywheel was replaced, they found that the pucks on the initial clutch were too thick as they had been made for the old flywheel which had already been worn. So a new clutch had to be made. Only after that could the sputter be diagnosed.

So everything has now been sorted out and I mot my car back last night. New clutch and flywheel have been fitted but I need to get used to it again. Bite is a bit more sudden now. Gears are much easier as well.
Overall I'm really quite happy with were the car is at the moment. There's still a lot more to be had from the setup as she is tuned on a daily map at the moment (1.4bar peak from what I saw on the guage) and making 337whp and 402nm. I think the power she is making at the moment is enough to keep me happy for a while.

Plan for after my wedding/next year:
    - Electronic boost controller
    - Upgraded fuel pump (if required to reach my goal of 400whp)
    - Respray the front end of the car
    - New headlamps / restore
    - Move meth pump and bottle

    Plan for this weekend:
    - Give her a nice bath
    - Clean up the engine bay
    - Fix glove box lid (again)
    - Fix door pads (peeling leather inserts and broken storage compartment lid)
    - Move turbo timer/boost guage to above drivers side vent
    - Move wmi controller

Looks like going to be a long weekend lol

Tried to get some work done on her yesterday but couldn't get as much done as I wanted (had a very heavy Saturday night :fight: ). I ended up sleeping most of yesterday.

I manged to fix up the glove box lid (let hope it stays this time), moved the WMI controller and fitted the switch back in its place and gave the engine bay a good clean up. I didn't get around to giving her a wash as it started raining as I was about to start with the that. So that will probably get done today.

In the mean time, just two pics I managed to snap yesterday:

    Cleaned up engine bay

    WMI install

I'll get more pics this afternoon once she has been washed.

    Still to do:
    - Give her a nice bath
    - Fix door pads (peeling leather inserts and broken storage compartment lid)
    - Move turbo timer/boost guage to above drivers side vent

Your setup is looking really really neat ... - Would love to see how exactly your car puts that type of power down on the road ... and how it handles ... - Looking at a GT28 or T28/T3 Combo in the next year ... - HPFP, Injectors and 3" MAF Later ...

Thanks bud. I'll try and get some videos of how she performs. From what I can tell you, 1st gear is strong, she pulls very well, 2nd she battles for traction intially and then just accelerates very hard and continues this way into third and so on. I haven;t had a chance to run her through all the gears as yet but will be taking a long trip back home in Dec so I will give her a try then.

Thanks s3dave and vroomtshh. I'll get the guys to chec kit out next time in at the workshop. Or maybe I'll just reposition it when I move the bottle and pump.

there is'nt an orientation on these but inverted from the picture will help it prime as dave says... it will have to suck it out which in my experience of these pumps, they like gravity feeding

I didn;t realise that. All the ones I've seen are always the other way up.
And it would save him routing his pipe over the pump and then back on itself.

    Update time:

Changed out my OEM DV for a Forge 008 which I picked from on FRnrR customers who had one for sale:

Also swopped out the S2000 filter for a Pipercross 76mm cone filter:

So then this weekend I spent the weekend neatening up my engine bay. There have been wires loose in the bay, pipes and vaccum lines not in place and uninsulated wires being exposed in the bay. So this weekend my brother and I got working on cleaning everything up

We wrapped up most of the wires with heat resistant silicone tape. We then got on to changing out all the old vacuum line with new piping and re-routing most of them to neaten up the bay.

Added some FRnR tuning decals as well:

    Before:

    After:

Added some FRnR tuning decals as well:

Then I relocated my turbo timer/boost guage from above the steering column to above the drivers side air vent and foxed my WMI controller in place:

After that, I then got around to cleaned behind my rims (build up of brake dust) and cleaning my brake caliper (well attempted too lol):

    Rear before:

    Rear after:

    Front before:

    Front after:

I forgot to take a pic of the rim after.

The calipers didnt come out the as good as I expected but not bad considering I didnt use any proper products. I'm think of repainting them in the same yellow.

    Overall, a productive weekend.

Next up will be a proper headlight restoration and a full detail :hurray:

I've had a few gusy telling me that the Pipercross filter I have fitted at the moment isn't going to cut it and will not flow enough air for my set-up.

Can anyone advise on this please? If needed, I will get a bigger filter then

Foam filters aren't that brilliant tbh... to filter effectively they need to be oiled well... this leads to issues with the oil getting onto the MAF sensor element which destroys them...

You canuse less oil (or no oil at all) but you run the risk of large particles getting through and foreign object damage (FOD) of the compressor wheels

Cotton type filters work better and the JR filter Bill sells with his 80mm TIP for the K04's will support your power level all day long...
