I had to 'assist' my local guy when they did mine but thankfully they were quite receptive and set everything up fine...

Most wheel alignment places are used to dealing with std setups on std cars... you take some thing exotic in and it can phase them a bit... clearly (as Karl has mentioned) this can be also said of companies in the tuning sector too...

There is a decent write up in the stickies concerning suspension set up and the best bet is to take it too a place with a decent laser alignment rig and tell them what you want and how you want it done... should all be good then

I asked him about it and he said that he said he just adjusted both arms so that the wheel didn't hit the guard but also didn't cause the driveshafts to bind. I had asked for ~1 degree rear but he said he got as close as he could while maintaining zero toe. He said that 1-1.5 is ok as long as there's not too much toe. Perhaps the trailing arms on mine had already been adjusted? I was chewing through tyres fairly well before though. Lucky the AD08s hadn't been on long.

The guy sets up race Porsches (had a few nice 911s in when I went), R8s, Evos, WRXs etc for Targa, Rally, Race etc and is very well regarded. He really has done an awesome job. The car used to feel a little sketchy sometimes but with the rear setup and the camber up front reduced, it feels really solid. I think I'll run out of balls before the car does! I keep banging on about it I know...

Yeah I only took mine to the local tyre place to get the toe on the front sorted. I drove about an hour south of Sydney (2hr train/bus journey to pick it up) but it was worth it.

When I went for the toe adjustment at the tyre place the guy had a proper aussie accent and went "blimey mate, she's running nearly 3° camber" and went on to say it'd kill tyres etc...

Nope, I marked the distance on where it was fitted on original bars and bolted it up, job done.

Right, small update, I put the bolt back to front and it was 100 times easier to line up, so one side done, driver side next, which should be a doodle, now I know what to do!

    Cheers!

And so the driverside was a piece of cake once I sussed how to do it! I have to admit, as a one man job on axle stands, it's not for everyone, an extra pair of hands would have made life easier.
