Hi everyone, ive been a member on here for a wee while but never come on much but wondering if anyone could help me with a problem that crept up on my 2002 a3 1.8t tonight. I was driving home and the oil pressure warning light came on so i turned the engine of straight away and stopped the car in the ditch. Waited 10 mins checked the oil level which was full so tried to drive again but only got 10 meters before the warning flashed up again so turned the car of and got towed home. Is this likely to be an easy fix i.e a sensor or something more major like a blockage oil pump problem. The only thing ive noticed wrong with the car is it has felt a big sluggish under acceleration since thursday night but not sure if the two are linked. Any information would be helpful
thanks
Kevan

Best bet is the oil pick up pipe is blocked, do a search on here, very common! I changed mine 2 weeks ago.

as above, £15 for the pipe and seal, then oil and filter

Hi guys, thanks for your advice. i looked up the other posts and it all sounds similar, just a bit worried about the turbo taking longer to spool than usual over the last couple of days. Hope its not damaged. Will go and see the local Audi specialist tomorrow and decide if he's fixing it or see if i'm having a go myself.
