Cylinder order.

Hi, Just a quick one, VAG Com is showing misfire on cylinder 2. Coilpacks?!

Are they 1-4 left to right standing in front of the engine?

no idea

id swap the fisrt two coil packs around , working from the left and see if fault moves.

as cyl 3 and 4 working Left to Right involve more work to get at.

if it moves, you found fault.

if it doesnt, you have either...

got wrong one.
got problem with wiring to coil pack

or

got a problem with a spark plug.

Cylinder 1 is drivers side, 4 is passenger side.

Looks like its a dodgy coil pack. The only one in the car thats original and not J lasted to 47k though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

oh no....

sounds like a problem i had. My cyclinder 3 was misfiring which turned out to be that the cyclinder was way under pressure...


er go i got had to get new valve for it, new gasket, new cambelt /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
