My ESP light is now constantly illuminated having been previously intermittent.

The fine chaps at Aries Garage in Nottingham have plugged it into VAG diagnostics and it is showing a failure of the lateral acceleration sensor.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so is it a major job and how much is it likely to cost?

Gee

I know the longitudinal sensor is next to the brake pedal and I think the lateral one may be next to it.

Simple to change but quite expensive to buy.

The Lateral acceleration sensor is located behind the Drivers storage compartment. To replace the sensor you have to remove the storage compartment.
There are two sensors behind the panel
1) G200 Lateral acceleration sensor,
and
2) G202 Yaw rate sensor.

Cheers
