Seems some of the Golf R lot over here are using R8 coils. Could be the new TFSI coils upgrade ;)

Whats the difference between tfsi and r8 coils though?

So not a upgrade, just a revised part to sort out faulty hardware.

715F is the V10. 06E905115E is the V8 number.

Think this suggests its much the same coil pack tbh... its unlike VAG to make a specific item like this for a specific car without good reason...

<tuffty/>

A few people seem to think there's a difference between the models though. 3.3 ohm (stock Golf R) vs 5.5 ohm for the "R8" coils.

Let's stop fannying around and just find out what coils they use in the Veyron??? :)
