Hi All,

Post No. 2

Not sure, as the car is new to me, but the sub seems really quiet - like it's blown a fuse.

It sounds as if the audio signal is getting through to it, but it's not being amplified. It seems much quieter than the other speakers, which all sound fine. The speakers for the rear seats sound fine too - it's just the sub that sounds like its underpowered.

Anyone else had this? Is there a separate volume control for the sub? Could it be a fuse? If anyone else has replaced the amp for the sub, was the dud amp letting any sound through at all, or was it completely dead?

Any help very much appreciated,

Thanks

Ed

Sorry, what a noob I am. Car is a late 2001 S3. It has a Symphony 2 stereo, although I am not sure if this is the standard head unit for the car or if a previous owner upgraded it from a Symphony 1 - Having looked at s few others of the same age on AutoTrader, I think it should have a Symphony 2 as standard, but am no expert!
