Hello cheaky...just popped up on my dash...any ideas

Evening all, while driving through the snow and laughing at all the none 4wd cars struggle I had this pop up on my dash and now, unfortunately it wont go away

, I can only assume its something to do with the snow as it was fine before, I have noticed a small "sensor" on the bottom of the sump...could this be the culprit? Any info would be fantastic

Oil pressure sensor faulty or damaged wiring.

that'll be the ***** lol is it easily available i.e GSF?

Its probably the wiring or the plug has simply been knocked off... scan for fault codes as this may well pop up a code and check under the engine...

The sensor is a dealer only part I think...

Got mine off eBay and it worked fine. Was £12 off eBay. Oil level sump sensor.

forgot to say though, the garage that did mine did at the same time oil an filter was due because you basically drain the oil when you take the old one out.

So in end I had oil , filter, sensor, nut and washer.

Had this on my A6, fitted new sensor, fault still there. checked wiring, no probs damage, fault still there!
Decided to disconnect battery for 10 mins......fixed! Must have been a cluster hang up!

i would see nothing on my dash,the dis shows ****** all lol...i need to fix it!
