eBay turbo's

Not sure if this has come up before, but next week I am due to take my turbo off my bam s3 for a rebuild. If its ruined, and is costly to rebuild then I'm not sure which step to take.
What are these ebay turbos actually like? Does anybody run 1? Cheers.

The new ones on there are generally chinese copies and made of chocolate. Best bet would be to buy a 2nd hand genuine turbo and get it rebuilt or a lot of turbo companies sell already rebuilt ones.

theres a massive thread about it. some people have run them and been fine, other not so fine. buy one send it to beachbuggy for inspection, refurb then you have yourself a decent turbo!

Poor build quality, poor quality internals, improper balancing, boost creep issues from bad castings etc... all issues that plague the cheap turbos... as mentioned it is worth having a chat with Dan (beachbuggy) about all things turbo...
