Hi guys,
had my 1.8t agu for a few months now...
Today i put a cone filter on it.. But theres a ignition module i believe its called on the airbox.
I left it tied to a pipe with both connectors connected.. What is it?? Car wont start when unplugged. What have u lot done with it?
Also car flutters now so looks like a faulty diverter valve??
any help pls
thanks

You're not talking about the MAF are you? Can you take a picture of it?
If it is the MAF, you're going to want to put that back.

Check the small vacuum hose on top of the dv is connected properly and isn't split.

AGU's have an ignition amp.. this is normally fitted to the airbox.... as long as its secure then it should be fine... you can cable tie it to something (alloy bit facing out as it gets warm) or make a bracket to attach it too

+1 as per tufftys post
The metal bit acts like a heat sink

Ahh cheers tuftty!! Thats wot i did. Also flutter?? New diverter valve?

Assuming its plumbed in right... is it an OEM one or aftermarket one?
