S3 Hesitation / surging issues

I recently replaced my plugs due to hesitation / surging issues & initially all was good however in higher gears 3rd + it has re-occurred. Today the EML light was flashing I haven't scanned it but I am already aware of the lambda sensor number 2 being faulty, this hasn't affected MPG & I do not believe there causes any adjustment in the fuelling made by the ECU. When I previously removed the lambda sensor it was black & easily wiped clean my intension was to cure the hesitation issue then clean up the lambda probe however i'm at a bit of a dead end. The coil pack wiring loom is all good the only thing which springs to mind is coil packs & although their 50k old they look in good condition (not ****** / tarnished).

Anyone else had this problem ? i'm concerned it could be a turbo issue.

hmmm...this says coil packs to me, the 17526 & 17522 are related (lambda) not sure about the 17705...

Gonna switch over coils 3 & 4 with 1 & 2.

Coils switch last night, faults codes found below.


16684 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
16685 Cylinder 1: Misfire Detected

Cylinder 1 has coil 3 in it, this makes sense to misfire. What I don't understand is why cylinder 2 (previously coil 4) & 3 (previously coil 1) have not misfired.

I need help please guys !

As suspected 4 x new TFSI coil packs cured this problem HAPPY TIMES !
