S3 Owners quick question

I've just noticed this on my S3, not sure if it lighted up before.

The cup holder symbol does that light up red like the other symbols. Also the two vents above it are those red too, as I've just noticed my side vents near the windows are red but not the ones in the centre. Just wondering if the bulbs or a wire has gone loose.

vent wheels should illuminate same as sides, but not the cup holder symbol as this is 'painted' on.

I don't own an S3, but all vent dials lit up in my A3.

Yes the vent dials should all light up. You will need a new vent believe it or not and not a bulb as the light (LED) is built into the vent!!

The cup holder symbol does not light up on the S3 but does on later models of the A6 etc...

damn - cup holder??? Is this an option or just on later S3s?

Either that or someone has nicked mine.

Is this the case for pre facelift S3/A3 aswell (vents lighting up)?
If so non of my vents light up /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

No only the facelift cars came with the vents that illuminate.
