hi people,
this is my first post and i am in need of some help, some thieves tried to steal my car about a year ago, they got in through the boot , i only noticed because the lock would not turn or key go in, since then my battery keeps going flat mostly over night it is only now im starting to think its linked somehow, my alarm keeps going off and doors keep unlocking locking only whilst im asleep never when im awake strangly, my solution to this to stop my neighbours kicking off was to take the 3 fuses out for central locking, its now peacful once again .since taking the fuses out the car starts and drives better, it felt limp before and the noise it made at start it up was like the cam chain tensioner was going that made me worried.
i bought a vagcom cable from ebay it arrived today so i can hopfully scan the car but i was wondering how much its going to cost to get my alarm and locks working again
i hope someone can help me i've read alot of the posts on this forum and there is loads of info that as helped me with this car , its a 2001 amk , my brother in-law has a different earlier model which goes like a rocket train standard, mine feels very slow .
is there anyone in holland on this forum by any chance?
