Hi there. Fitted my new front mount yesterday but having a bit of a problem with the pipe work for the n75. On the kit I have there is only one pipe to replace the two old ones. It's the biggest of the two that's there. What should I do with the smaller of the two pipes? Does it get blanked of? Bit confused with it really.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Dave.

does the pipe look like this your talking about ?

if so the little pipe goes to the N75 valve
the bigger pipe goes to the dump valve

Aye, my pipe is the same as the top picture but mine does not have the smaller pipe coming out of it. Do you know where I could get one of them?

your have to get one welded in, or tap a thread and liquid weld one in.

Ah ******. By liquid weld do you mean chemical metal or something similar? Don't suppose you know where I could get one of the small pipes to fit to mine? Also is it still ok to drive as it is?

Welding is ok but you will need to smoke test it to make sure it doesnt weep boost, best way is chemical metal, a tube is around the £8 mark, i welded both of mine (n75 and DV) and both have weeps, ive got some chem metal so will put that on asap

as for a N75 take off pipe, i cut the take off, off my old pipe and drilled a hole in the new FM charge pipe then welded the take off on, bust way as its the correct size dude :)

I used a metal tyre valve bolted on the boost pipe then chemical metalled round it been fine for about 18 months

Thanks for the replies no where open to get any now so will have to wait till tomorrow. Do you know if its still ok to drive without that pipe on?

Ok thanks il just leave it till the morn then. Hopefully get it sorted tomorrow.

Is it not possible to buy a pipe with it already fitted? Seems pretty stupid selling an intercooler kit that u then have to go an weld bits to for it to fit lol

Managed to get a pipe chemical metalled on today and put everything back together and then fired it up and took it for a drive. Engine runs fine but won't boost. Only Gets 2 maybe 3 psi. Also a very deep loud throaty noise accelerating.

anybody know what this could be? Pretty puzzled to be honest :s

Aye one of the pipes had popped off. Never noticed it.

Cheers
