Hi all,Had a quick search but couldn't find a definitive answer.Would 235/45/17 audi TT wheels and tyres fit ok on my A3 8L?PCD is 5x100 so I know that's ok, I'm more concerned about rubbing etc etc...Thanks!

234/45 is too big a profile so your speedo would be out.
if you're lowered considerably it may rub, depends tho

Speedo difference is so marginal you can 100% ignore it,
standard tyre size is 205/55/16, total diameter 631.9mm, 235/45/17 has a total diameter of 643.3mm.
The speed will in theory under read by just 1.8%, but seeing as all speedos over read by 5-10% anyway it'll actually make your speedo MORE accurate, not less
I run 235/45/17 on mine and have no clearance issues at all.

so in your experience would you say im better off leaving it at stock height or lowering it? if so how much should i lower it by so that it looks good but is minimum fuss.....
well mine is so low you can just about put a finger between the tyre and the arch so fit them and play with the hight
