How long do turbos last roughly? And other questions??

Hi,

Just wondering how long turbos last on the 02 A3 1.8 Turbos? Also one advert mentioned a "long life servicing pack", what is this? Is it like 5 years free servicing with minis? Any other pointers to look out for on this car would be great also!.
