    flat as a pancake

    hi all. enjoying my recent purchase of my 2000 a3 1.8l. got a few issues such as a lack of pad on rear discs but fitting newnew ones tomo. but it seams to have another prob its flat when giving it the beans , but not all the time. new filters and plugs is my first point call but wonder if there maybe a common fault of issue.

    Coilpacks, boost leaks and blocked fuel filter would be a good place to start too.
    Silver 2002 Audi S3 225 (BAM) since March 2011.

    Mods: Badger5 2.2 TIP, Jetex filter, PCV delete, 710 DV, N249 bypass, R-Tech Stage 1 TiV Remap, Audi TT Pedals, Red Dogbone, Polybushed tie arms. All silicone boost pipes, Michelin PS3s, Red V6 coil packs, MK4 flat blade conversion, retrofited cruise control.
    Currently: 254bhp - 276lb/ft (174bhp/ton) as of 11/02/2013 On V-Power

    full on service needed then. also has high bite on clutch. but clutch seems bang on. stretchy cable perhaps or are they usually pretty goodgood

    The clutch is hydraulic operated so no cable to stretch. What's the mileage? More than likely just worn.

    would a maf not be suspect? if its flat but jot all the time?

    hm is the maf flywheel associated or an abrevation for something else. nope not flat all the time. took for decent drive today was great awesome car feel connected to the road. but was not flat all the time

    maf is the air flow meter. they go a lot and can make the car seem sluggish. is your car a turbo?

    what a nob of course thats what i means i should know this stuff. and no not turbo but want to induct was going to as about sensors if i needto be careful when doing this mod. but sort this prob out first

    on driving to itloved the cold air think your diagnosis could be right she was flying at 3rpm then flat then picked up the flat then stayed quick well for non turbo
