    Question Engine mount thoughts?!.....

    So ive finally rebuilt the entire suspension on the s3 down to the last bolt and now looking at doing the brakes and body but i want to change thw engine mounts.
    After seeing jardo change his mounts to standard ones and tiger seal them it made me think, do i do the same and buy brand new mounts and tiger seal them or buy aftermarket ones?

    Im looking at buying these for the engine and gearbox mounts:

    Are they a good make? Also im planning on buying a new dog bone mount and using the yellow poly bush and the purple circle bush to fully polybush it, all in all the 3 mounts and bushs will cost just over £100, less than what one aftermarket mount will be.

    What you guys think?

    I have Tigger seal mounts on mine

    Seam to cope well with over 500 bhp and vibration wasn't that bad
    Was 531bhp 8L S3 thats going to break the 600+ bhp Club then break something else. Lets see what this OD HTAGT3582r can do

    in all seriousness, I am probably going to be doing something to my engine mounts in the near future as mine, especially the gearbox one, are close to being useless so it'll be interesting to see the responses..

    One mount is still dearier than all 3 mounts though mate, you think they would make that difference and be worth the extra £££?

    Hello again!!! Drop Alex at AKS tuning an email or ring him tomorrow he's got a GB going for engine mounts and the dog bone mounts.

    At my power level or for occasional track use most determinately... for a road car with one track day a year and less than 300 hp its debatable...

    There will of course be a little more vibration in the cabin but the engine feels soooo connected

    It's true, they make the car feel very connected. I have VT mounts plus a VF dogbone (which is stiffer).
    Handling mods++. GTX30 soon-ish. Hiding parts from the mrs since 2011. Build thread

    I can't find all the details of the GB as there are a few options but I'll find out tomorrow. For just the two engine mounts it's £230 inc VAT and delivery.
