Electrical/Battery Problem

Hi

im new here, signed up yesterday in the vain hope of trying to find out if I actually need spacers or not, and now I have MUCH bigger problems!!!

Last night my dashboard lit up like a christmas tree - car's been known to flash random warning lights at me in the past and then go off all on their own, so I (wrongly) assumed it was another one of those situations

Anyway, this morning the battery was dead

its a 2000 S3

Heeeeeelp!!! Are there any common electrical faults that could spring up from no where and will kill the battery overnight?

First thing to do mate tbh is scan for fault codes... get a copy of VCDS lite and a cheap ebay cable in the first instance... info in the link below
