treated myself to a new MAF today, the old one was giving a continual error on VAGcom. £75.03 including VAT from the Dealer, handy we have an account for the extra % off /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My question is, having had it faulty or not working at all for a while now, would I be advised to disconnect the battery for 30 mins to clear the ecu incase it has adapted to the malfuntioning MAF or will it make no difference and I can save retuning my stereo /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

i'd reset the ECU, so that it can re-adapt to the new MAF.

Don't know if it's necessary or not, but i'd feel happier knowing that it had been done..

if i didn't i know i'd end up doing it in a weeks time anyway, as the curiosity wold kill me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
