    Random fsi question

    Anyone know if a fsi cylinder head fits onto the 20v block. The fsi block seems to look the same with the exception of the balance gears.

    just a random thought

    other than why... I believe it can be made to fit but the FSI head is 16v and has injectors in the head...

    Its not really an upgrade if thats the thought process behind it..

    Yeah my thoughts were upgrade based. Wouldn't direct cylinder injection increase cylinder cooling resulting in more power? Isn't that what gives the fsi the edge of 20v.
    I know it would be expensive, with inlet and exhaust manis, ecu & harness, cluster etc etc.

    There is no realistic reason why you would do this over a 20v... tfsi doesn't have an edge tuning wise IMO, the 20v is far more tunable...

    Seems a lot of work for no real gain...

    That has crossed my mind more than a few times, but I won't get away with it here in Dubai as they don't allow engines with more cylinders than stock.
    Maybe one day, still with a S3 though

    Jbs in Chesterfield however have a price list on their wall of engine swaps they would undertake ....... I think the 2.5 Audi 5 cylinder was on there!
