    REVO to APR

    I'm currently running a stage 1 REVO mapping supplied by Awesome GTi about 2 years ago but now looking to upgrade to stage 2. Car is an AUM engine 1.8t

    Firstly before upgrading is it worth changing to APR and what benefits/problems can arise; otherwise if I should stay with REVO where would be the best place to upgrade now that Awesome GTi are a APR dealer.

    Whether I stay with REVO or change to APR are there any specific other modifications I would need to fit in order for either maps to run at there best potentional.

    Current modifications are as follows;
    > Boost Guage (taken from just after FPR)
    > K&N Panel Filter
    > Forge FMIC
    > Replaced AirMass Sensor

    To Do;
    > Forge TIP
    > Forge Silicone Piping
    > EGR Delete
    > Carbon Cannister Removal
    > N249 Bypass
    > [and god knows what else I need to fit]

    That's the general idea anyway. I will also be looking to fittinf Decat Any more info needed please just ask

    REVO stage2 is £50 if you already have REVO stage1, why would you pay to go APR? If you're planning to swop maps, your better off dropping the car off at RTec or Badger5 who will make the most of your mods, and maybe cheaper than going the APR route.

    Of course if going to Awesome is your preferred choice, then I would ask if they could do some sort of a discount to switch to APR since they mapped in your stage1 in the first place.

    Just my opinion, let us know how you get on.

    REVO to APR

    I went revo stage 1 to 2 and it was well worth the £50 to get that little bit more performance.

    I have been in contact with Awesome GTi regarding what map would be best and if they could sort out some sort of deal if I did decide to change. The only reason I asked is they have heard mixed reviews regarding which supplier brings out the best from the car.

    If sticking with REVO is best then that suits me fine for that £50-£60. Just wanted to hear whether people have experienced both.

    REVO to APR

    I did the Revo upgrade from 1-2 yesterday. Too early to tell totally. But car definitely feels better still and fuel economy seems better??? (Wasn't expecting this)
    Had the wife and baby in the car on the drive back so couldn't give it full beans but once home I took it for a very quick spin around the industrial estate and can feel the difference.

    Need to sort out my inner tie bar bushes this week (after local 'specialist' ********ed them fitting my coil overs) then will give it a good run

    Did you get the Revo 2 done at Pro Sport?

    You will notice the improvement in the mid range rather than the top end.

    I had it done at specialist cars of Malton. They are primarily a Porsche garage. Had a nice Lamborghini in tho.

    I have noticed a nice improvement all the way through the range. Not tried top speed though but pick up seems better.

    Also seems smoother than the stage 1. Less spikey on the boost.

    I am pleased with it. So far !

    I get worried when I hear that economy improves after a map. The economy on my jabba map was great, pity it had to run lean to achieve that level of economy. I'd log EGT's and AFR just to be confident everything was fine....

    Can these be logged on vcds? (If so which ones are they please)
    I think it may be down to me taking it steady on the drive home as had wife and baby in the car.

    I've since been for a more spirited run and don't think it is any better lol

    You can indeed log EGT's and AFR in vagcom but I can't remember the blocks, rosstech should have details...
