I received my stubby aerial in the post today, went to fit it, and the aerial was just spinning.
Managed to get it off eventually, but the threads in the base of it are all corroded, so I cannot screw the new one onto it.
This is the part in question:
So are my only options, dealers or scrapyard? I had a look on ebay, but could only find this one:
AUDI A3 RADIO PHONE AERIAL BASE 8L0035501A NEW GENUINE AUDI PART | eBay
But that says its for radio and phone, so will it not work on mine as I don't have the the cable for the phone aswell?
