LED brake lights and indicators?

Hi everybody! My first thread on ASN!

Any recommendations for LED indicators and LED brake bulbs? I purchased a set of CANBUS LED indicators (front and rear) for my S3 as well as CANBUS LED brake lights, but the car still didn't like them! Got the indicators hyperflashing with them installed (everything lights up, but the flash like mad), and the brake light throws a fault on the LCD display, but lights up as well.

Over on UK-MKiv's a few people seem to be using Cree LED bulbs without reporting any problems. Pretty bright as well

I believe these are the new type of LED, a bit more expensive, £4 each IIRC but they are so much brighter. They're used in the new Audi's DRLs.
