Painted calipers

Fitted some new front brakes to my car yesterday. Standard discs with Pagid Fast Road pads. While I had it in bits, I carefully applied a coat of silver hammerite to the calipers. See pic below. I think it looks good. Much better than the dirty black they were before.

Only problem I have now is bleeding all the air out of the system. Pedal feels like a big sponge at the minute. I clamped the brake hoses before removing them to stop air getting back up, but I can't of clamped them hard enough.
 
personal taste i guess.. plus it matches the car colour.

I did think about red, but wanted a nice subtle look. It matches the car colour quite nicely too.

will hammerite stand up to the heat generated during braking?
 
I painted mine with black hammerite over 12 months ago and they still look fine. i also went for the subtle look.

You can get a high temp version.
 
i used normal car paint on mine and after 6 months they are still ok.
 
Yeah looks nice Si, nice paint job u must have a very steady hand, lol
