Hey everyone, I apologise in advance I am sure this topic has been covered many times over past 10 years however I can't seem to find the answer I am after. Trying to get lights sorted ASAP as the foglights are cracked and want to order all new hids.
Basically I have just bought a 2003 Audi S3. I want hid lights in both headlights and foglights and matching best I can. The stock headlight bulbs are crap! Not bright at all.
I've had HID in the past and they were 5x brighter than these.
Basically I need these question answered.
1. Are the stock low beams hid or just xenon?
2. What are the xenon bulbs stock in S3 ie 35w 6000k
2. Can I put aftermarket hid in the headlights? W/o the car throwing error from its wiring/ ballasts not being used.
3. If so can the error codes be cancelled? Alternatively how can I get brighter lights?
Any help for a new S3 owner will be much appreciated.
