hi new on here just a quick question does anybody know why this sensor fails ? and am i best buying a new one or am i wasting my money if i buy a second hand one ? anybody please !

Buy a new one. For the sakes of £40-50 it's worth it over the worry of your 2nd hand replacement going. That's what I did.
