hi all maybe a silly question but ive been looking for the answer for a good half hour now so thought i would just ask you lot. im going with a new downpipe and decat now 3" and i was just wondering if the decat was also 3" and how it would mate upto a 2.5 or 2.75" exhaust once the cat meets the rest of my exhaust..probably a silly question and im sorry for asking haha. any help is great

think ive answered my own question now looking at most downpipe and decat packages the decat gets slimmer at the exhaust end

the downpipe is 3'' the whole way mate, then the decat section reduces from 3-2.5-2.25 to work with the standard exhaust.
If you ever upgrade to a 2.5'' catback system you can cut the 2.25'' section out and replace it with a bit of 2.5'' pipe to keep the diameter the whole way through
