I was wondering besides looking at the bushes on the wishbones, what would be the signs that they are on there way out?

Other than being bent it will be bushes...

Feathering wear on the tyres, clunking... should be obvious if the bushes are on the way out... depending on the year of the car the bushes could be solid or voided... voided bushes generally tear... solid bushes disassemble themselves... you may feel the steering grabbing the camber under braking as the geometry alters to toe out if the bushes are that worn...

Could also be worn top mounts...

Cheers Tuffty, I take her out and have a check. Looking at the documents supplied looks like the top mounts where changed circa September last year.
