How much is in this car....

There is a guy who is locally selling his German Spec 1998 A3 and i was needing some info. What is the stock spec's on the car. Its the 1.8T 5 spd tranny.

The car has a DigiTec Chip/Ecu upgrade(german chip)
Supersprint mid pipe section
Supersprint rear section with DTM tips
Forge "stealth" diverter valve
K&N air filter(i'm guess just a panel not cone)

How would the specs vary with those mods? The guy is also asking $25,000 for it and it has around 74k mileage on the odo? Is this a good price? TIA

$25K US dollars?, that's more expensive than my 1999 S3 is worth in the UK, are they really worth that much over there as an import?

Stock should be around 150BHP, chip should make it around 200BHP at a guess.
Exhaust shouldn't add much power, but at least it's S/S and has tailpipes poking out the back.
Forge DV is better than standard DV, more reliable for the boost you are producing.
K&N is waste of time.

That spec goes for around £5-6k in the UK (just sold mine for £6k on a '99)
So should be around $10-12k + a bit for import, can't believe anyone drives them in the US at that price.
How much is a new one locally?
That'll tell us what the mark up is on import. I know they never sold the old A3 in the US so they must be pretty rare.

they don't sell A3s in the states so that might explain it... wouldn't pay any where near that though - even for something that rare.

Not quite £20k, nearly £14k though, which is late S3 money.
