    VR6 housing part number is 0 280 217 512

What you need is just the sensor from an OBD2 mk3 VR6, engine code AAA I believe.

Obviously when changing the MAF you'll need to have the map altered to suit.

What bigger turbo have you fitted too? as the VR6 sensor maxes out at around 320bhp

Ah right. Was this the jabba mapped one? Ko4-001 spec?

at 230bhp you'll probably find your maf total maxed at 187gs. Vr6 maf will suit perfectly

Yes mate it is the same one. Had quick search thru ebay and have found FORD VW GALAXY SHARAN GOLF Mk3 VENTO MAF Mass Air Flow Meter Sensor 2.8L-2.9L | eBay which looks like got spec i want and fairly cheap for new part.
Now just got track down a decent 3" downpipe and work out if go sport cat or stick with original cat then once that fitted change maf over and tweek remap
