How do I know if my car has been chipped or remapped?

Perhaps it's just me, but very often it feels like my TDI 110 has been uprated - I say this because driving a Golf 150, it felt sluggish in comparison (and yes I know they are 2 differant cars etc etc).

Anyway, is there a simple check you can carry out?

A dealer could plug it in and tell you straight away if it's been mapped as the boost, fueling and other levels would be way past the standard format.

Then again could this not be checked on the vagcom?

Don't forget you'd have to be moving to log the things mentioned.
