A3 Aerial

Simple one here.

Has anyone changed the Aerial on their A3? want a smaller one in silver or black, but the ones on ebay still look too big!

Can anyone reccomend anywhere that sells smaller ones?

And does anyone have any photos of their car with a different one or with one of those shark finn ones?

i have a Civic type R ariel fits good 1mm over lap, but u cant notice it that much and screws straight on, looks kool, ill try and find a picture of it.

Just as a matter of interest guys,how exactly does the ariel come off??
The seal round the base of my ariel seems to be coming away and i was wondering how to change it.Also a nice new ariel would look even better so can anybody give me a few hints?

The base was left on, just unscrewed the ariel and screwed new one on.

To remove the base , i think you will find if you take out the rear interior light you can access the securing nut on the base,but if you want to replace just the aerial it just unscrews from base and after fit ones come with different size grub screws to fit audi base.
Thats what i did with my short aerial from "cessories"
