02 225 slight ticking from engine on idle

hi all is it normal to have a slight ticking noise from the engine bay on idle i can hear it from inside the car but it seems to disapear when you rev the car and i cant seem to hear it when listening to the engine with the bonnett open cheers

Sounds like you can hear the n80 valve, it usually ticks on idle. Its located on the drivers side inner wing , its a round thing with pipes going into it bt the PS resevoir

Charcoal canister? It's normal. Or atleast, mine does it too.

thanks for the replies guys its going over to badger 5 s next week to have the oil pick up pipe replaced ,new tip and haldex oil and filter do you think i should get the oil pump replaced while its there while the sump is off its done 140000
