Help, gearbox stuck in two gears which codes please?

sady this afternoon my 2001 A3 Quattro decided she no longer wants to reverse, engine stalls under clutch yet no movement
informed by AA dude its stuck in two gears, got in back to the local garage which ive used for a while
asked the guy what the best solution is, he said get a re con box, but im lost with the engine codes
ARY EVK EFY
do i just need a gearbox for engine type ARY or does the box need to also match EFY ?

found quotes for £400 who guarantee its correct fit, yet another for £320 but not 100% sure if it will fit

If you look under the boot carpet or inside your service book, you will see a sticker similar to the image below.
On the image below I have circled where the engine code and gearbox codes are listed.
Use the ones from YOUR sticker when sourcing a gearbox.
