Avg on autotrader is about 4 - 5k for sim milage but from traders. Unfortunately to the normal buyer the mods won't add much value at all. Infact if your looking to sell the car, they may make it harder.

You may be restricting your market to some of the guys on here

well ive looked on parkers n they say 4700 standard based on 60k miles n mine has 40 odd so i gota be looking more than 5k i rekkon any one else

Careful .... parkers always seem a little high, if you can get a glass guide that would be more accurate, plus if selling private, you might not get as much as "book" price unless the figure you've quoted is labelled "private sale" of similar

Car looks good, but you will be best off trying to sell it privately. I've just been offered £3500 for my 98 R plate 1.8 T with 83k on the clock and full Audi service history, except the last service which was done by a specialist.
This was against an 02 Bora TDi 130 sport at my local friendly VW stealer. Thought Audis held their value, but losing £7500 in 3.5 years seems a bit steep to me.

I think that they were trying it on, but was only offered £5500 against an A4 TDi 130 sport at an Audi specialist dealer earlier in the year. Keep getting told that the mileage is killing the value. | thought that the whole point was that these cars went on forever and so held their value accordingly, that's ceratinly the case when you're looking to buy one. With depreciation like this I may as well have bought a Skoda and had some change. I doubt it would have been woth any less than my A3 is now. This could be my first and last Audi. I didn't lose this much money or have this amount of hassle with my Mk2 GTI and I kept that for 11 years!

my old a3 was neary identical to yours, S reg, 1.6sport, audi bodykit, facelifted lights, s3 seats, 18' alloys, coilovers etc etc
but it had 110k on it not 40k and i sold it on autotrader the same day i advertised it for 5500
