So did some work on my car last week, did a full sump service including pick up.
Changed my filter for a nice fresh new one

Then while that was all open decided to vent my catch can to atmosphere instead of it going back into the tip like it was before

Then stripped the rear to rubberize the boot, but while that was open I have not put the rears back.
I thinking of bracing the rear but need ideas thou

Organized some bridgstone semis for like £12 each, 2 have 3 to 4 mm before the wear line, 2 are on the wear line and 1 is like 2mm before wear line. Seeing as its the 1st time I'm gona be using semis thought I would not miss the chance on this deal

Got my mate Magster to make me 5mm hub centered spacers for the front. Iv already got 10mm for the rear (hub centric)
Just need to source wheel bolts. Which has been such a ball ache so far.

    Enjoy! Thanks for looking

    Which gauge would you choose?
I'm torn between which Air/fuel Ratio gauge to choose from. Both are standalone wideband gauges with their own lambda and control unit!

GlowShift’s Elite 10 Color Series Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge is an ultra-high performance gauge that allows you to monitor, as well as tune your vehicle’s air to fuel ratio, resulting in multiple benefits. These benefits include maximized power and engine performance, reduced emissions, and higher fuel economy by allowing you to carefully map out your vehicle’s air to fuel ratios throughout the range of RPM and manifold pressure which results in maximized power output. This standalone wideband air to fuel ratio gauge reads and displays your vehicle's air/fuel ratio, with unparalleled accuracy, from 10.0 to 20.0 AFR with the included Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband oxygen sensor.

This Elite 10 Color Series Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge includes a Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband oxygen sensor, unlike many other wideband air/fuel gauges that utilize the older LSU 4.2 sensor. This 4.9 LSU wideband o2 sensor is installed to your vehicle’s exhaust with the included weld in bung, and the 13 foot sensor wire utilizes a modular connector to securely connect to the included wideband control box. The included power wires and wire harnesses are completely plug and play, and securely snap into the wideband control box, as well as the back of the gauge with modular connectors.

GlowShift’s 2 1/16th inch (52mm) Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge offers some incredible features that include an easy to read analog readout, a peak recall function, programmable high and low warning functions, stepper motor technology, as well as 10 color through dial LED lighting, a self-calibration mode, and a low profile magnified tinted lens with an illuminated red needle. The adjustable high and low warning functions will alert you visually or with an optional audible tone, ensuring your vehicle’s air/fuel mixture is running at optimum levels. The included stepper motor ensures all needle movement is incredibly smooth and all gauge readings are extremely accurate. GlowShift’s 10 color through dial lighting lets you match your stock gauges or add a unique look to your vehicle’s interior. With the included color recall feature, you never have to worry about resetting the gauge to your preferred color every time your vehicle is turned on.

GlowShift gives a 0 to 5 volt digital output with this Wideband Air/Fuel Gauge’s controller, allowing you to connect it to virtually any data logging or engine management system.

NOTE:The included Bosch 4.9 LSU Wideband o2 Sensor includes Bosch’s 30 day manufacturer’s warranty. GlowShift does not warranty this o2 sensor after that 30 day time frame.

Elite 10 Color Wideband A/F Gauge:
2 1/16th Inch Black Face with Magnified Tinted Lens
Analog Display Reads from 10.0 to 20.0 AFR
Digital 12 Volt Wideband Contoller Unit with Data Logging Output
Bosch LSU 4.9 Wideband Oxygen Sensor
    13 Foot Sensor Wire Harness
6 Foot Control Unit to Gauge Wire Harness
    5 Foot Power Wire Harness
    Weld-In Sensor Bung
    Mounting and Installation Hardware
    Free Lifetime Technical Support
    One Year Liminted Warranty
    Linear Data Logging Outputs:
Linear Narrowband Output: 0 to 1 Volt
Linear Wideband Output: 0 to 5 Volts

so been a bit busy this december with work so not much was done except for ideas and planning.

iv decided not to go for a AIR/FUEL ratio gauge as of yet, as i have other things that need my money spent on lol

iv got 3 sets of wheels:

    16" oem wheels
17" porsche twists with bridgestone semis ( im still busy with the refurb on the wheels and deciding what colour)
18" SSW wheels which are my everyday wheels

iv got spacers for the wheels but it is such a mission to keep changing wheels, bolts and spacers. So after some homework decided to look into a stud conversion with open lugs so that 1 nut fits all the rims.
I have spoken to bill and will be ordering a set of studs from him, the reason i will be going thru badger5 is what bill sells to his customers he would use on his own car and for me personally thats trust.

this morning i orderd a set of blue anodized lug nuts off ebay to match my calipers lol and i like that they 48mm long so it will have that race car look

    anyway thats it for now

    So good and bad news.....
    Good news:
My new lug nuts arrived yesterday.

I was expecting it to be a brighter blue. O well

    Bad news:
the lugnuts are 48mm long so I was hoping it would clear the holes for the bolts, it does, but when you put the socket in to tighten and loosen the nuts the socket touches the rims and you can't get a grip of the nut! Fml
Now I'm gona have to get a quote on making the stud holes 3mm wider!

I'll comment in your thread dude, apologies for not doing so previously. It's a thousand times more entertaining than all the 'which wheels' and 'what FMIC' threads that pop up

What I don't understand about your wheel problem, is what size are your current studs? and why can't you just get longer ones of the same? surely they're all M14, so whatever size nuts you have currently can just be replicated surely?>

those bridgestone semis look pretty cool too, don't see them over here much at all !

    Lmao thanks dude!

I want to do a stud conversion and use lug nuts to tighten the wheels, as I have 16 wheels, 4 different sets, I have 2 different sets of spaces, now instead of running with like 60 or 80 different bolts use 1 set of lug nuts for all applications. Now the studs I got today are 90mm so I can run up to a 30mm spacer if need be. But that's a lot of strain for the studs so max will be 20mm, its a open end lug nut so any spacer of wheel stud will work!

But got that sorted today with the issue I was having with my 18s with the lug nut holes not being big enough. Went for a quote this morn and they will be sent in next week, then ill send the wheels in for powdercoating same time

Sorted, I understood the reasons for wanting studs, just didn't know why some sockets would fit inside the current wheels and others not.

I know what you mean though, I also have 4 sets of wheels, 2 sets of OE wheels (S3's and TT comps) and 2 sets of aftermarket wheels, so need a set of radius bolts and a set of taper bolts. In an ideal world I'd have all aftermarket wheels and studs / nuts to make things simple.

All 4 use cone studs so that's sweet just the 18s used a turner bolt instead of a hex head bolt so a longer hex would not fit with out opening the stud hole, that's why I went for a 48mm nut thinking it will clear it fine, which it did, but the spoke is a bit to thick around the stud hole so the socket would not fit, but that is getting sorted now lol

Do they have an allen key in the end to tighten them in? I assume you fit with threadlock then you're done?

What did the full set of 20 cost you dude? I've been meaning to do this for a LOOOOOOOOONG time.

Hahahah ok ok ill do a little write up now.

So the other night I decided to do some logs on my car after reading everyone doing their maf logs.

I did mine and I only got 146.3g/s, now I was talking to prawn via whatsapp stressing my ass off thinking my car is stuffed. While running logs I still had a TLGP with a ford focus st (2.5t) and a golf 6 ED35 (k04). The G6 stayed till over 200km/h then we ran out of road and the ST got a hiding of his life.

So stressing the whole time and everyone is saying my MAF might be on the way out I went pricing around for Bosch ones and all that.

On tuesday I went to my turner to have a look at things and the only thing he could see was that at 1.7bar my injectors are at 90%.
Not to stressed about that thou.

So I asked about my maf readings and he said I don't need to worry, so I got even more stressed saying that the oaks in england are getting 190g/s on stage 1 cars. Then he tuned me, " dude what altitude are they at vs us? And the most iv seen on a 1.8t k03s is 154g/s"

Then I asked nick if the altitude sorry could be right and he asked what is jhb's altitude and when I said 1834m he nearly died asking if we f#*king mountain goats lol

So while my car was there I asked him to map me some left foot braking. I have always used left/foot and heal n toe but with the drive by wire it threw me off completely making me blip into a corner and slowly power out instead of using the brakes to power me out like I do on the bikes.

so im thinking of swapping my SSW wheels for these ones, i love the look of them and when i bought mine these were not available.
i wont be using those profile tyres ill be using my own tyres.
    whats the opinion on them?

also iv found a set of S3 rears, disks and lines for 66quid so im waiting for my mate to part with them then ill be fitting them. also coming at such good timing as my disks and pads have seen better days

so i went last night to do a test fit on those wheels, it looked so much better on my mates Jetta not the audi thou it looks huge.
if i was going for that whole stance look it would have been epic as they 8j and with a 215/35 tyre there would be epic stretch!

his looked pretty awesome with mine on
