Would a A4 rear diff fit in a S3 - Real quattro :-)

Just a thought, was wondering if a A4 rear diff would physically fit in place of the S3 rear diff along with some fabrication work to mount it.
Anyone ever done this or looked at it?

Just weld up the Haldex.... you already have a rear diff

It has been done. QST built an 8L S3 with RS4 running gear (2.7 Turbo version). It's been on the forum a few times. I was lucky to have a ride in it when QST remapped my car back in 2004.

You would need to add a centre differential as without that it would end up driving like it had diff locks.

It wasn't finished when Kim took me out in it - suspension needed sorting, but it was incredibly quick in a straight line.
