In Car Vag Com port?

This may seema bit of a stupid question but has anyone got a picture of the serial port underneath the ashtray on an S3, thats used for plugging in VAG COM. I have only recently aquired the car and have found where the port should be but the cover is missing and i cannot see the serial port that i think is supposed to be there. It is just a hole. I am wondering whether it has been pushed back into the dash or is missing completely? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hi Aaron,
your diagnostic plug may not be located there, it could be on the underside of the dash on the drivers side close to the door.

Yes, it should be by the drivers door under the dash. Very convenient for getting the wire going to the laptop on the passenger seat tangled on the gearstick whilst you are driving!
