16" to 18" is style worth it over comfort????????????

Guys,

Just as the subject states, I am looking to upgrade my wheels but i am a bit undecided i know 18" alloys look the part but how badly is the comfort of the ride affected? My car is a R plate Tsport with standard suspension.

Can anyone tell me how it was for them when they upped the size of alloys. I was thinking maybe 17" but i think they just dont cut it.

To the title, simpy.. Yes. 18" wheels are really not harsh on the A3...very little difference in noise.etc to the 16's to be honest! The handling however is MUCH improved with 18" wheels over 16" wheels so is a worthwhile upgrade.
