air con returns to 23 degrees all the time?

hi all,
as above really the air con on my 2000 s3 always returns to 23 degrees when i start the car. will it not stay on the temperature i left it at?
I havnt had the car long and my old a3 didnt have aircon,

Im not sure how tor resolve it but I think it should yes as mine stays at what it was left on

Are you using the same key? The climate stays on a desired temp due to the key aswel! If you go to HI and then switch the fan off, it'll go to a certain temp - that's what mine does

Mine always stays on whatever I left it at when switching the car off. I do always switch it off before switching the car off though, so not sure if that makes any difference at all or not.

The settings are stored per key.

So if i get in, set it to 21c and ECON, then the missus gets in and sets it to 18c with AC and full blowers, when i get in again with my key, it returns to 21c and ECON.

Perhaps theres a comms or coding issue between the climate unit and clocks, so the climate unit doesnt know what keys being used?
