Best panel filter. S3 AMK

Hi.
Im goin to service car soon. S3 1.8T. Was wondering what panel filter to go for. PIPERCROSS, K&N or BMC F1 air filter. Also do u get a slight roar like with the induction kits.

Any advice will be helpful. Thanx.
