I have an Audi S3 1999

I realised on my dash there is a blank switch which when I looked through my Audi car guide it's an optional extra for the ESP button so I am just curious is the wiring behind there so all you need is the ESP button? Or isn't it that simple?

Hope anyone can help.

Doesnt work like that mate, itd involve rewiring, different sensors etc. tbh i really wouldnt bother, ive got a 2000 plate s3 without esp and like lol, all be it, the non-esp s3's have some sort of primative traction control. Anyway its more fun without esp :).

Thanks for getting back to me fast, just was curious that was all. :)

It's strange because when I turn my ignition over once the ESP symbol lights up then when I turn my engine on it goes off, so I must have ESP permanently on and the switch is like an optional extra so you have the choice whether to have it on or not, but to be honest I aren't complaining because it's clever technology.

Thanks again for the response and advice. :)

Like i said mate pre face s3's have a primative esp style system but its really nothing, not like the amk/bam versions and some late apy's.

if it's just a blank space you want to fill, maybe get one of these:

A3 Button
