Hi,
Just had new ARY engine dropped into my 2002 A3 1.8T Quattro (ARY) as blew last one up. Still has original ECU from previous engine which as been re-mapped.
Couple of issues:
1. Car turning over for a while before firing. (Seems to be better now)
2. Stood at traffic lights other day idling and the revs dropped and nearly stalled the engine. (Only saved by me dipping accelerator)
3. When driving at low revs in any gear the engine sounds like it isn't receiving enough petrol.
Does the ECU need re-mapping to synchronise it to the new engine?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
