Evening all,
My friend and I are on the hunt for some decent heatshielding material for the bulkhead.
He has a Mk2 currently undergoing a 1.8T conversion, I have an AMK which will most likely be on the receiving end of a relentless manifold soon.
I've seen some pretty high EGT temps (pushing 900C) when doing VCDS runs although obviously these won't be sustained through day to day driving. Also that temp is inside the DP, not around it.
I've seen this used on a Mk4 2.0TFSI conversion but again the working temp seems low for a K04.
