Went to book the car in to my local Revo dealer for a stage 2 map, only to be told Revo have pulled out of Ireland entirely and there is no chance of getting a map done either north or south. Anyone know why they have done this and do they plan on coming back to the market over here.

Why would you go to revo anyway? there is only one man in Ireland i'd let map my car and that is joe power at chippedIRE/TRD,the man is genius and leagues ahead of the hoards of generic mappers in Ireland and the UK.

EDIT: he is probably the reason they pulled out lol

Are you on any of the Irish forums Dave? VAGdrivers (gone **** now),Autostadt.ie,Octane etc? You will hear nothnig but good reports of Joes work,he has worked on a lot of 1.8T's with hybrid turbos,as well as turbo charged 3.2 v6's etc the man is genius.

this is the latest info i have for him:

Web: http://www.tdr.ie
Email:info@tdr.ie
Telephone +353 (0)87 9113843

Give him a shout and see what you think, personally i couldn't recommend him enough - haven't had the S3 with him yet but i will soon,a few friends have had thier S3 or S3 engined cars with him ,one running 300 odd bhp.He maps cars on a dyno no generic stuff.

joe's a good guy...

you wont be dissapointed

edit: however, if you are on stage 1 now and looking for a stage 2 its a £50 upgrade, vs a new remap which wont be £50.....
worth the travel perhaps to the remaining revo dealers..
revo have obviously got their reasons for rationalising their dealer network... and keeping gooduns has got to be one of the criteria

I guess I will give him a call and see what happens from there.@Shane. I am on Vagdrivers but never use it. Will have a look at the other ones.
Thanks.

Seen many a customer on GolfGTI forum sent Joe's way as well :)

We have been cleaning up our dealer network to make sure we have only the best dealers out there, which means certain people that are no longer dealers might be spreading miss-truths.

Have a look at: Performance360 | VAG Performance Specialists the guys there will be able to help you out.

As for above comments above, I'd hope Revo aren't being lumped in with 'hoards of generic mappers'. Anyone that's experienced a properly setup Revo car will know it's anything but a generic software as there's a wide range of adjustability to play with and get the setup right for the customer, conditions, fuelling and mods we cater for.

Check out Autostadt.ie Dave, plenty of S3's etc on there. What part of Ireland you in ?

Guys

I use performance 360 for my revo software, tuning and upgrades. Two guys that know their stuff and won't just stick a map on a car and see you on your way! Time will be taken to satisfy a customers performance needs!

They are based in and around Lisburn direction so only a couple hours max from Dublin!

Give them a shout:

My car is stage 2+ 2007 S3 with Linear Throttle map done by P360 :)

I got a remap done with joe earlier this year, he put his base map on and tweaked it on the road. He normally maps on the rollers with z before and after dyno, I just needed mine mapped ASAP for a trackday 24hrs later.
He is based in dunnoyne co Meath.

If you fancy a drive to the UK... Mainly Manchester we could always get an APR remap on the car! :D

Sorry :D

APR I believe are trying to sort out dealers in Scotland and Ireland! All being well there will be some quality APR remapping over there soon! :D

Awesome Mike

In your forum section it says you're Revo dealers Mike; I take it not anymore....
