    DIS adjustments to match MPG after mapping.

    Does anyone know if there's anyway of adjusting the DIS calculations to get them anywhere near what MPG should be after changing FPR or injectors? After fitting 550cc injectors I was getting an mpg reading of 49.2mpg but could physically see the fuel needle going down lol.

    There must be a way to calculate the differences with the new injectors and then edit it with VCDS or similar. Anyone bothere to investigate?

    I think theres a guide on modshack mate, i read ages ago about fitting kne of their aftermarket maf tubes and and a 4bar fpr but in doing so it messes up the dis readings, ill try and find but im on the iphone at the minute and we all know how ahit they are lol.

    You cant adjust it that much with VCDS

    You need to adjust KVB table in the map, very surprised nick hasnt updated that tbh! I'd be asking him to fix it.

    I did ask him but it's not something he spends his time on when doing the map.

    I might get on over to the tuning forum he and bill uses and start reading up. I don't mind the dis being slightly out but it's totally pointless now as its so inaccurate I might as well just leave it switched off.

    its good because you think your getting loads of mpg :D i get at least 35-40mpg in the a3 now its all good :D even better than it was before and now its got nearly twice the bhp.

    just stop been a girl its not even accurate anyway is it ?

    That's why I want to make it accurate. It must only be a few simple calculations in a table to make it a little bit closer then it is already. Even if I just up the stock values across the table to match the increase from the 550cc injectors it'll be better then nothing.

    true ! i just think as long as i get 300 miles to a tank its all good !

    i suppose at the end of the day what's the point in having a highly tuned car if your going to worry about mpg.

    but that's my 22 year old point of view that has no mortgage or bills to pay!

    just set kvb to 550cc... its a 1:1 value in cc (scaler is set to 1:1 as std) to a max of something like 730cc, thereafter you need to adjust the scaler also.. Not relevant to you

    1st few words are what you would do...
    change kvb to 550

    for fine adj maybe try this afterwards

    1. Open VCDS and click on SELECT CONTROL MODULE
    2. Select INSTRUMENTS
    3. Select ADAPTATION
    4. Type 03 into the channel box and select ENTER
    5. Note the Existing Correction Factor. This should be the default value of 100 if it hasnÕt already been adjusted.
    6. Calculate your New Correction Factor as follows:
    New Correction Factor = (Displayed Fuel Consumption / Actual Fuel Consumption) x Existing Correction Factor
    For example (35 mpg / 31.5 mpg) x 100 = 111
    7. Enter the New Correction Factor into the NEW VALUE box and select TEST.
    The Displayed Fuel Consumption will gradually change to the new value.
    8. Select SAVE
    9. Select DONE
    10. Select CLOSE CONTROLLER
    11. Select GO BACK

    easy, ask Niki to adjust KVB to 550 (or actual 548) and adjust the final 10% either way with the dash adaption.

    Otherwise it will be out.

    The miles left will drop in relation to the gauge reading so it may show 200 miles, then when parked up drop to 100 etc. As long as the GF pays attention to the gauge then it's all good Westy

    I'm in the car tomorrow and doing 100 miles so it'll be nice to see how much the gauge goes down.
